AgendaStrip Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AgendaStrip, a plugin for Stream Deck, handles your information. AgendaStrip shows today’s calendar events on the touch strip of your Stream Deck.

Operator: k-five LLC
Contact: support@k-five.co

  • AgendaStrip reads only today’s events from the calendars you connect. To display them, it uses only four items: the title, start time, end time, and whether they last all day.
  • AgendaStrip processes your events only in memory on your computer and does not write them to disk.
  • There is no developer server. AgendaStrip does not send your events, sign-in tokens, or account name to k-five LLC. It sends sign-in tokens only to the service that issued them (Google or Microsoft). None of these are sent to any other third party.
  • AgendaStrip communicates only with the calendar services you sign in to (Google and Microsoft). The Calendar app on Mac is read without using the network.
  • There is no analytics, advertising, crash reporting, error reporting, or update checking.

From every calendar

  • Only events for today (from midnight to midnight in your computer’s local time).
  • To display each event, AgendaStrip uses only four items: the title, the start time, the end time, and whether it is an all-day event. For Google and Microsoft, it also reads whether an event was cancelled, only to leave cancelled events out of the display.
  • AgendaStrip does not use calendar names, calendar colors, or the location, attendees, description, attachments, meeting links, or response status of events. For Google and Microsoft, it does not request them from the service (for the Calendar app on Mac, see below).
  • AgendaStrip only reads. It never creates, changes, or deletes events.

Google Calendar

  • AgendaStrip requests two scopes: calendar.calendarlist.readonly and calendar.events.readonly.
  • From your list of calendars, it reads each calendar’s ID, whether it is your primary calendar, and whether it is selected for display in Google Calendar. It uses these in memory only, to decide which calendars to read events from (except that the ID of your primary calendar is kept as your account name, as described next).
  • It reads events only from the calendars you have selected for display in Google Calendar.
  • The ID of your primary calendar is your email address. AgendaStrip uses it as the account name shown in the plugin settings. It does not request profile or email scopes.

Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com

  • AgendaStrip requests two scopes: Calendars.Read and offline_access. It accepts both work or school accounts and personal Microsoft accounts.
  • Calendars.Read would also allow reading event details such as the description, but AgendaStrip asks only for the title, the times, whether it is all-day, and whether it was cancelled.
  • It reads events only from your default calendar.
  • It uses the address of the owner of your default calendar as the account name shown in the plugin settings. It does not request profile scopes.

Calendar app on Mac (macOS only)

  • AgendaStrip asks for access to your calendars through macOS. Because of how macOS works, this appears as a request for “full access”, but AgendaStrip only reads.
  • It reads today’s events from all calendars on your Mac. macOS loads the events into AgendaStrip’s helper app on your Mac, and the helper passes only the four items listed above to the plugin. The helper does not use or pass on anything else, including calendar names.
  • Calendars on your Mac are read on your Mac and do not involve signing in.

AgendaStrip uses it only to show your events on your Stream Deck, to show the connected account in the plugin settings, and, if you turn them on, to play a sound or flash when an event starts. Event titles and times are passed to the Stream Deck app on the same computer to be displayed. When no dial is showing a calendar any more, AgendaStrip discards the events it holds.

  • Events: AgendaStrip does not store them. It keeps them only in memory.
  • Sign-in information: when you sign in to Google or Microsoft, AgendaStrip stores the sign-in tokens and the account name (the email address described above) in the Stream Deck app’s settings on your computer.
  • Display settings (such as which calendar to show, colors, and language): stored in the Stream Deck action settings on your computer.

None of this is sent to us.

  • There is no developer (k-five LLC) server. AgendaStrip does not send your events, sign-in tokens, or account name to k-five LLC. It sends sign-in tokens only to the service that issued them (Google or Microsoft). None of these are sent to any other third party.
  • AgendaStrip communicates only with the calendar services you have signed in to: Google (accounts.google.com, oauth2.googleapis.com, www.googleapis.com) and Microsoft (login.microsoftonline.com, graph.microsoft.com). It does not contact a service you have not signed in to.
  • AgendaStrip does not send analytics, advertising data, crash reports, error reports, or update checks.
  • AgendaStrip does not send its logs off your computer.

AgendaStrip’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, information received from Google APIs is:

  • used only to show your events on your Stream Deck and the connected account in the plugin settings (and the optional start sound or flash);
  • not transferred to anyone, including us;
  • not received or viewed by k-five LLC through AgendaStrip;
  • not used for advertising;
  • not used to train AI or machine learning models.

AgendaStrip is a plugin for the Stream Deck app made by Elgato. How the Stream Deck app itself handles information is outside this policy; see Elgato’s privacy policy.

Your choices: signing out and removing access

Section titled “Your choices: signing out and removing access”
  • Sign out: signing out of a service in the plugin settings deletes that service’s tokens from your computer. For Google, AgendaStrip also asks Google to revoke the access.
  • Google: you can also remove AgendaStrip’s access from your Google Account, on the third-party apps page (“Access to your Google Account”). Google explains the steps in Manage links between your Google Account & apps from other developers. If your Google account is managed by an organization, your administrator may also control which apps can access it.
  • Microsoft: Microsoft does not offer a way for AgendaStrip to revoke access itself, so signing out deletes the tokens from your computer only. To remove AgendaStrip’s permission from your Microsoft account:
  • Calendar app on Mac: you can turn off AgendaStrip’s access in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
  • Before you uninstall: sign out of Google and Microsoft in the plugin settings first. The calendar permission in macOS may remain after you uninstall, so turn it off in System Settings if you no longer need it.

For questions about this policy, or to ask us about deleting information, email support@k-five.co. Because AgendaStrip does not send your information to us, we do not hold your events, tokens, or account name. You can delete the sign-in tokens and account name stored on your computer by signing out as described above.

When we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page, keep the previous version at a dated URL, and link to it from this page. The URL of this page does not change.
